Stockholm airport overnight

Hi I’m looking at booking a ski trip to ARE, Sweden but it involves a connecting flight from London – about 7/8 hour rota trip time so we will spend most of that first day travelling if we get the SAS LHR early morning flight- I’m considering an evening departure the day before but to stay close to Stockholm Arlanda airport – any recommendations on where to stay close to airport or Stockholm in general to get a morning flight to Are Ostersund?

We usually stay at the Arlandia right next door, not too dear, but a bit of a waste if you only have 8 hrs layover. There’s a coupe of nice local guesthouses, or home stays near by, really comfy for your requirements. Breakfast at the hotel is fabulous, but again, it’s whether it’s worth it..

I stayed at the Clarion Hotel Arlanda in the summer, which is directly between terminals 4 and 5 in the SkyCity area of the airport. It was convenient if nothing else.

There is a Radisson Blu in the airport which I’ve stayed in a couple of times which is fine. Just a short walk through the terminal.

How do you find the guest house @polly? Booking.com or elsewhere?

It just came up towards the end of the listings on booking.com or some of those websites. Radiosonde Blue good, but not cheap…
