I have just received my first Amex card today (gold)
If I was to get my partner a supplementary card does this hamper her bonuses if she decides to get her own account in the future? So if I get her a gold card on my account,
Can she still apply for gold then ba and still get all bonus points too
No, she would not be doing any harm to her SUB by being a supplementary cardholder.
There is a really good article on here about how you can gain the max Avios/points by working your way through the cards and referring your partner (and vice versa) as you go. I shall try and dig it out.

Perfect thank you I did see this before I decided to go the Amex gold card, Barclays plus and then BAPP route though, I think I can do this. Cheers
