I figured I’d probably get an answer here quicker than it takes for me to actually be connected on hold so I’m hedging my bets by doing both!
Has anyone had the situation where one traveller can’t fly but one still can (lead booker) and needed to change a redemption booking from a 2-4-1 to a 50% off redemption? Do you have to cancel the whole thing and rebook (hoping there is availability cleared by you cancelling) or can they just do some jiggery-pokery and refund me some avios?
Well, I presume you’ve managed to be connected by now – but yes this is actually pretty easy for the CS
Split the PNR – cancel the non flyer PNR which should refund the TFCs
Process a refund back 50% of the Avios, if the cancellation of the non flyer PNR didn’t process that when it went through the cancellation robot.
