How early can you check-in and drop your bags in Tampa? Our flight is #BA2166 on March 18. Also, is there a time limit you can stay at American Airlines Admirals Club?
it will say in MMB but usually 3 – 3 1/2 hours before the flight
Don’t think so but remember the offerings in the AC will be minimal compared to say Galleries in LHR so not a place to get there too early.
Different if you can access the AA flagship lounge.
TPA is fairly small and in my experience very efficient. The BA desks are not typically open until 3 hours before the flight, make that 2:50 before with general faffing about. The Admiral’s club is not a place you’d want to be for more than an hour or so. But given bag check opening you’ll not get much more than that anyway.
The great thing about TPA is the speed you can pass through, it’s not an airport you need to arrive at early, and really there’s no reason to as there’s not much to occupy your time. Once you’ve cleared security the concourse (F) you’re on would probably take 2 mins to walk from end to end. The Admirals club is a little left as you approach the T junction post security, and the gate BA use is 90 which is at the far end having turned left.
I believe above is correct, but sometime since I’ve done BA. The Gatwick planes are poor, and given the rather hefty prices usually around I prefer MIA or PHL and then domestic connection to TPA.
