I’m happy with this offer, an extra 10 nights credit, particularly for Milestone rewards, is handy, and a long window to earn the extra credits.
I like it, too. I already have enough bookings that I’ll easily earn the extra 10.
Only downside is that it makes the 40 nights lounge access milestone even more accessible. Could mean more crowded Club Intercontinentals by the end of the year.
Are existing bookings qualifying for this? I also had similar at the end of last year and an existing booking didn’t qualify for the bonus night.
Although as it’s targeted, maybe it’s only to people who already are Diamond and therefore likely to have already chosen lounge pass. The challenge will be getting to 40 nights too quickly, you don’t really want it before early October so you can select it in January and get the pass until December 2027.

Last year’s offer applied to existing bookings for me. I’ll let you know on Saturday when tomorrow night’s stay credits.
Yes existing bookings quality but see my comment that only cash stays count and then only from the day you register and are within the offer period.

IHG seem to have a setting on my account which excludes me from all offers (even though I’ve never declined marketing etc.)
Fine. I’m done with IHG, and the new Marriott Double Nights promo has just been announced.
Interesting. Last year I opted into same offer on 16/9 for stays between then and 15/12 for double status nights.
The first 2 stays (cash) on 8th and 16th Oct that were already booked prior to opting in to offer, did Not credit the extra night.
Only stays during the offer period that were booked after 16/9 (I.e. when I opted in) gained the extra night.Didn’t make any difference to where I ended up last year on status.
@Andrew-J would appreciate feedback; I’ve got some existing cash bookings during this new offer period and wondering if I need to rebookI don’t seem to have it (though IHG emails don’t always arrive on the same day for different members, IME). But most of my stays this year are on points at the lower end of the year just to get my next suite upgrade voucher and, at a push, the lounge pass.
I received the offer but only after I had checked in at a HIE and saw on my phone the offer when in my room. I had paid at reception – Wondering if offer is triggered on a registration. Shame to miss out on a bonus night. C est la vie.

A recent change in T&C means lounge passes earned in 2025 will only be valid until Dec 2026 regardless of when they are selected.
(Whether this has been implemented in practice will not be known for a while, because nobody will have reached 40 nights in 2025 yet.)
As my lounge pass earned in 2024 is valid until Dec 2026 (and apparently the same is true for my Diamond status but who knows if it will stick), I wouldn’t be bothering with this promo even if I had been targeted.
@NortherLass. I’ve recently dropped from Diamond to Platinum and have not been targeted with this offer. I do have a number of cash bookings in March as we will be travelling through the US and at some towns where we will be staying, it’s either an HIX or Red Roof Inn or equivalent.
As expected, can confirm that existing bookings do post with the bonus nights credits.
Had my first stay under the offer post over night.
There is an entry in the listing for the stay in account history that specifically mentions it.
Qualifying nights total also updated correctly.
