Hi all
Now been 10 days since I upgraded an Avios ticket and still awaiting the reissue.
Called twice and both times been told all is in order and just need to be patient as travel is 1 month away.
When do I start worrying? And short of calling again to be told to be patient, anything I can do to speak to the ticketing team?
Call 48hrs prior to travel they’ll push it through for you so I wouldn’t worry until then and there isn’t anything they can do prior to chase. However if it’s been more than a week your CVV will have dropped out so you could try calling and asking them to check that, re enter if required and double check it is in the correct queue
OK, thanks. So CVV will have dropped off for sure. Problem is I’d like to book seats and I can’t.
Have done that as you are correct – CVV expires. Sadly they still can’t fast track it.
Just annoying you cant book seats. Not many left in J cabin and real risk we won’t be sat together now.

Is there a first class on your flight, if you can’t sit together, then a good story to ask for upgrade. BA taking over a month to issue tickets so unable to book seats for no faultof your own..

Definitely worth calling and asking. Had my account locked last month so couldn’t book flights using newly deposited Avios or choose seats. Rang silver number and they were able to do both for me.
