Hi, I have collected the following Tier Points
Date Desc Tier
25-Nov-23 Barbados out(WT) 20
08-Dec-23 Barbados Rtn(WT) 20
23-Dec-23 Bonus for holiday booking 40
28-Mar-24 Boston out (WT) 20
02-Apr-24 Boston Rtn (WTP) 90
11-Jul-24 Dub Out (Club E)40
16-Jul-24 Dub Rtn (Club E)40
16-Jul-24 Bonus Bonus for holiday booking 80
I reached Bronze, and currently have 350 TP’s
My Tier Point collection year end of 8th Sept
My next flights are in Oct / Nov
11-Oct-24 Malta out (Club E) 80
18-Oct-24 Malta Rtn (Club E) 80
23-Nov-24 Tenerife out (Club E) 80
07-Dec-24 Tenerife rtn (Club E)80
after 7 Dec Bonus for holiday booking 160
Now the BA wesite says “The Tier Points you earned between 1 April 2024 and 8 Sept 2024 will contribute to your overlapping qualification periods and will be applied as a Tier Point Adjustment.”
Does this mean the 250 Point ( 90+40+40+80) will be carried over and will the Oct / Nov / Dec booking get me into silver?
Are the dates when the flight was taken or the date they posted?
Basically any flights taken after 1st April 2024 will count towards the calculation for the adjusted TP year 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025
So as long at the flight you have as 2nd April was flown on that date you’ll have 250 c/o but I think you’ll reach 600 even without those 90
The dates the flights were taken, for example:
Boston out – I flew on 28th Mar, they posted on 30th march
So then in effect although my collection period expires in Sept, its like extending this to Apr-25. And so I will have 770 when the Dec Bonus hits thus into Silver
It may not be what you meant, but ‘extending’ is not the right terminology.
In effect you currently have two overlapping collection periods, 9/9/23 – 8/9/24 and 1/4/24 – 31/3/25. As @TGLoyalty says, 600TP in the transitional year from April 1st will get you Silver. I make it 730 not 770, but you’re good either way.
