Because of “potential political unrest” I cancelled, 5 months out, 2 BA Club Class seats to New Delhi (one way). All I was refunded was the Tax on each seat. No £4000 for the cancellation (in line with BA policy). However I did think that they may have credited the 30 Tier Points, that I was short to retain my Silver status! Hotels, Tour Guides& internal flights + the return by Qatar Air all gave refunds.
Despite a Complaint & subsequent Appeal the BA answer is still “no”. So I feel a little hard done by but I do tell this story to whoever will listen (especially to affluent Americans).
