Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Tier points collection year ends in July

Could not find the answer in forum but might just miss it. I have silver with tier points collection year end in July 2023 (card expiry in 2024), I understand this means from July all tier points will be reset to zero, but question is I have 95 points remaining at the moment to retain silver, does it mean from July given all points reset to zero, I will have to get 600 to retain my silver from 2024? If so I guess it might be easier to get 95 points done before July 2023 reset then?
    Thanks in advance!

No, the counter is just not clever enough to recognise that you have already been extended under the reduced threshold, so it is wrong. Earning 95 points now will do nothing but contribute to your lifetime total. You will need 600 tier points as normal from 9th July 2023.

Thanks for the response, I just actually chatted on BA support, I was told that if I get another 95 points before July 2023, status would extend to 2025, but if I leave it till July 2023 reset, then I will have to do 600 ponints to keep status to 2025. I am not entirely sure if these guys in BA chat is talking randomly..

I’m afraid that the BA chat support is wrong. Earning another 95 points before July will not extend your year into 2025.
