Tier Points to Cape Town have changed?

Hi,

A few weeks ago on the BA avios/tier point calculator, flights between London and Cape Town earned 160 tier points in Club. This aligned to your article with a table summarising tier points by route.

However, yesterday I checked the BA calculator and Cape Town now only earns 140 tier points in Club. Any idea what’s going on here and why it might have happened?

Someone else flagged this to me. There have been so many errors on that chart recently (last weekend all Lingus flights showed as earning) that I wouldn’t worry just yet.

As in you think it’s a temporary thing and will revert to 160 TPs?

I have an existing booking coming up and the reason I noticed the change was because on the booking summary it says only 140 TPs will be earned.

This is back up to to 160 TPs btw.

Is there any precedent to claim the delta in TPs from BA if you were unfortunate enough to fly in the brief blip while they playing around and TPs were reduced? Or do you just have to suck it up?
