Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points
Hi
I am not eligible for this due to a medical condition but if I took the card out and got my partner as an additional cardholder, could she get this with our kids? Or does the main cardholder have to get it?
Much appreciated
Alex
I don’t think you’re excluded in having the insurance policy itself (which comes with the card) but presumably any claims you’d make for yourself would be rejected if your condition is not on the exclusions list. Any claims by your partner or your kids would be assessed in their own merit – not yours.
For example, my partner had to go into hospital while on holiday last summer – her claim was assessed independently. I only put the claim through as the policyholder on her behalf.
