Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Travel Insurance claim – unused flights

  • 9 posts

Hi – hoping someone can help

In July I was due to fly to Rome, but had to cancel due to a chest infection rendering me unable to travel. HSBC Premier (Aviva) travel insurance would like the following:

“The cancellation invoice, showing the cancellation cost that was charged by the travel/accommodation provider. If no cancellation invoice was issued, we would need written confirmation from the vendor/airline that the travel and accommodation arrangements were not used and that no refund was available to you/ No show.:

I have filled out a form on the BA site 5 weeks ago but have received no response. Has anyone navigated this situation before?

My flights were BA 8052 and BA 8057

    Was it this form:

    https://www.britishairways.com/travel/webforms/public/en_gb/?eId=120001&wfpId=customer_receipt

You should have received a reply by email to the same email provided at the time of booking.

Are you sure that it didn’t go to your junk or spam email folder?

It was that form, yes. I have check junk/spam and nothing is there either. Have you been able to get a response from that form?

I have had success with this form. I submitted it on 15th of July and got an acknowledgment by email from:

Do Not Reply-BA Doc Requests <britishairwaysreceipts@email.ba.com>

I then received the actual response on 2nd of August so your timeline looks a bit rubbish. I think it is meant to be within four weeks? If you did not receive a confirmation that you had submitted the form then I think something must have gone wrong.

I got an acknowledgement from that same address but have heard nothing since.

I’ve filled out a new request now, so hoping I get something soon.

Which address did you get documents you needed from?

Same address for acknowledgment and response

Update: I found that Vueling need to be contacted directly, over the phone, even though the tickets were booked on BA.com with BA flight numbers. The PNR issued from BA is not the same as the one that exists with Vueling, further fuelling the complexity.
