I have curve, Amex PT and soon to open HSBC Premier.
All come with travel insurance. Two come with car hire excess cover.
Other than Amex’s criteria of buying the tickets to trigger the insurance – am i free to claim on any one i like ? Eg the one with the best terms for the specific claim?
Yes – they’ll then ask if you have other insurance in place and it’s up to the insurer you choose to claim through whether they hit up the other insurers to contribute.
It goes without saying, never claim on more than one!
My parents brought me up to understand that if I was going to go to jail, it should be for robbing Fort Knox, not e.g. insurance fraud.
