Forums Other Airport lounges Travelling between T4 and T7 at JFK?

  • 979 posts

Evening all, I’m travelling from JFK T7 and noticed that there aren’t any lounges there at all for Priority Pass users.

I have Amex Platinum and wondered if it was at all possible to go through T4 to access the Centurion lounge and then head on to T7?

    TIA

Yes but you’d need to go through security twice to enter T4 for the lounge and then T7 for your flight. There aren’t any airside connections between the terminals.

I’m not sure TSA would let you pass security in T4 with a boarding pass for T7.

They have no problems with it.

The person doing the ID check may ask something like “aren’t you in the wrong terminal?” But they won’t refuse.

To further complicate matters, AMEX rules state you can’t arrive at the lounge more than 3hrs before your flight takes off (unless on a connecting flight I believe) and you’ve also got the risk of having to queue to get in.

Combine that with the fact you’ll have to leave the lounge 1.5hrs minimum before departure (boarding 30 mins before hand, 30 mins for TSA, 30 mins for the walk through T4 and onto the air train) and I wouldn’t be entertaining the idea myself.

    Thanks everyone

It seems it’s possible, but not advisable! 🙂
