Hi all,
I’m travelling with my 2 year old to MEX in November with my wife flying a few days later due to work commitments. Do I need any special documentation to travel with my daughter without mum? We share the same surname on our passports.
Thanks,
Jamie
I just travelled to the US and back earlier this month with our 6-year-old son to visit family (wife had to work) and no one said a word or asked for anything in either direction. I do usually travel with a copy of our marriage certificate and our son’s birth certificate just in case though (long story, but we decided son would take wife’s surname).
Not sure if anything would be different for Mexico and their immigration officials for entry. Maybe check Mexican embassy website?
No idea about Mexico.
Have the mum available to answer a video call in the unlikely situation that something is flagged in the UK. (Birth cert and mum’s passport photocopy should allay fears that you’ve hired an actor.)
