Trying to book Lon, sin, syd,sin,Lon First Class. I know it can be done as I’m just back from that exact routing for £6k. It took we a week to book due to error messages eventually it gets accepted.
This time it’s far worse. I get to the confirmation page of the flights with the ability to alter some of them. If I haven’t log in I put in my details, pre enter and a message ‘something went wrong with your booking’
If I had already logged in it fills in my details and I get to next step is the payment page with the option of ‘Continue’. Here nothing happens and eventually the same error message comes up.
Any ideas, I tried the Lufthansa, Austrian and Swiss sites.
Some airlines program their systems to only accept connections, or sustain them, from local country, if they are overloaded. One of the US airlines (I forget which) even has that down to accept only connections within a very few hundred miles radius of a main hub, during times of peak stress. Lufthansa has lots, and lots, of strikes right now so a bit off the wall, but wondering if their system is somehow prioritising locally incoming connections for some functions.
You could maybe try a VPN set to Germany?
