    Recently opened an Amex Personal Gold card in my wife’s name and the card is now active. Spend has gone on the card but the first statement has not generated yet. At the moment the refer a friend link, when clicked, says “Your account is temporarily unable to access the referral programme”. There is a reference to the referral T&Cs, but the T&Cs don’t say why we can’t refer. Any idea why this is or when it is likely to be able to refer?
