    My daughters are supposed to be flying with a friend on Asiana from Heathrow to Seoul tomorrow night, and when they tried to check in online 48 hours in advance the web site says that “online seat selection is not available” and “Seats are fully booked. One or more passengers are on standby. Please contact an agent at the airport.”. Needless to say my daughters are very stressed with the situation. It appears that seats are still being sold for the flight from the airlines website.

    Has anyone come across a similar situation before with online check-in? I can understand being bumped at the airport but this looks like potentially being bumped before they even head to Heathrow.

    Not sure what the issue was but just spoke to the Asiana duty staff at Heathrow and they allocated seats over the phone and unlocked the online check-in, so all sorted.

    It is a busy flight looks like but they’re still selling Biz / Econ so they must be planning to get everyone onboard

    Asian airlines online IT can be surprisingly bad, especially online check in for international flights so I wouldn’t have been overly concerned anyway but glad you got it sorted!
