Forums Other Airport lounges United Club Lounge at LHR

    Hi,

Just saw that united club lounge was available for 50 USD ahead of my flight this week. I wanted to treat me and my friend but wasn’t sure if it was worth it (never been in it and we would be flying 11hours in economy). Anybody has any input ?

    Thanks,

It certainly used to be good, but £40 a person would go a long way in a restaurant to get you better food. Think I’ve also read that the bar service isn’t as good as it used to be.

However if you’re coming straight from work and want a shower then that could start to shift the dial.

£37 will get you more than a good meal at any of the restaurants in the terminal.

But the LHR one is rather nice, so if you won’t otherwise have a chance to visit airline lounges for free in the future and you just want to try it out, I think it’s a reasonable price for one-off access. To make the most of your time there I would aim to arrive at the check-in counter exactly 3 hours before scheduled departure.

I believe you need to add the lounge to the booking for both of you in advance or the offer may disappear, I don’t think you can buy at the door.

It is a nice lounge. If you’re able to get there early enough to enjoy a couple of hours and a couple of drinks then I’d go for it !

Thanks ! Was either going to do that one or the new No 1 through PP, not sure if it was worth paying the extra cash ( I only have one entry on PP)
