Hello,
Have a read Rob’s article , but when looking through https://www.britishairways.com/travel/redeem/execclub/_gf/en_gb I am trying to find a CW seat for Lon-NYC in May. The highest available cabin option is WTP. Can I not get a CW seat using the voucher ?
You do need availability in the class you want to travel in, but I think you’re misunderstanding the booking process. Select WTP and the next screen will show you CW availability if there is any. As long as you have minimal flexibility you should find something to NYC.
*I think the BA search tool has been broken for a while.
Which voucher are you trying to use?
But there does need to be availability in the cabin you want to upgrade to.
I did some searches earlier this week to use a GUF voucher and had plenty of availability for NY in January. I selected PE as the base cabin.
But looking for ORD in May there was zero availability.
You need availability in BOTH cabins, right? PE and Club (to be upgraded into)?
No – just in the cabin you want to sit in!
SeatSpy is showing plenty of availability to NYC, apart from the end of May, probably due to half term.
