Upgrading from the free card to ‘Avios Plus’ card

I’ve currently got the free card, if I upgrade to the Avios Plus card from the ‘Avios card’, will I still be eligible for the bonus 25k (on a £3k spend). If you upgrade the HSBC card I know they honour the the points but wasn’t sure re Barclaycard.

Negative, you only get the SUB if you have not held an Avios Barclaycard in the previous two years. Some have apparently managed to get something based on what they were specifically offered, but the restriction is documented in the terms.

Thanks Andrew, I was thinking that would be the case but had hopes otherwise.

Yeah unfortunately only thing that works is if you get the Plus you can get a voucher, then a voucher when downgrading to free. I would guess itll work the same way up but actually upgrading again free to plus is incredibly difficult.
