Upgrading Reward Flight with Avios

Avios newbie here. I was trying to book flights to NBO next year using Avios and my Amex 241 voucher. Managed to snag Club on the way out, but only WTP left on the return sector so I grabbed that. If BA release more Club seats on the return sector can I pay some more Avios to upgrade into Club?
