When did the cash element become that amount of money?Since BA started to charge and then increase its egregious surcharges.

Good solution actually, works out at £1000 + 50k avios I think. If I can tie it up as a holiday with car hire double TP’s too 😉
You would need to book your PE trip first with BA Hols paying cash then contact them to do the UUA which would still be subject to availability
THe Double TPs would be based on the base PE TPs.
