Forums Other Destination advice USA – LA or Miami in November

    Hi all

Thinking of going to the US late November. We’d like to go somewhere that is still warm. Has anyone been to LA or Miami in November? Or any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

Miami will usually have higher temperatures but may also be wet and stormy at that time of year.

Yeah I would avoid Miami, still hurricaine season in FL. Won’t me be much difference between the two in Nov.

Have you considered San Diego, it’s almost always a pleasant 72F.

    Warmth? Death valley? 😀

More seriously: Arizona will have warmish days and can get cold at night (like most deserts) – ideal temperatures for outdoor activities really. Sedona or the environs of Phoenix both have lots of options.

Yes, I was thinking Phoenix as well.

San Diego can be foggy close to the coast in November. The so-called June gloom often reappears in November, with the fog lifting by mid-morning and reappearing late-afternoon. I think this may be why BA finally changed their evening arrivals to late afternoon a few years ago, after one too many November diversions to LA.

was also thinking Pheonix / Vegas etc… what are you looking for whilst you’re away? (I found LA and Pheonix a little bit boring / distributed) – San Diego is a good suggestion, but again, I was done after about 5 days – concious its all very much horses for courses (but if you’re just looking to sit on a beach, it makes a difference to the alternative suggestions 🙂 )

edit: I might’ve just got a bit lucky with Vegas weather in November
