Discuss today's stories:
I have 1 old style BA 2-4-1 voucher from Amex and 1 new style voucher
I want to book an Avios redemption for a family of 4. Can I use both vouchers on the same booking? Online, it’s now allowing me to check both boxes.
Any options here?

No you can’t redeem them on the same booking:- “Only Companion Vouchers of the same type can be combined and redeemed on one Reward Flight booking (e.g. If a Cardmember holds a British Airways American Express Companion Voucher earned before 1 September 2021 and a British Airways American Express Credit Card Companion Voucher earned after 1 September 2021 they will need to be redeemed on separate bookings.”
This presents a problem as it appears from your comment that you can’t select both, the two vouchers are in the same name and that person needs to travel on both bookings. If you telephone, I don’t know if they can overcome this issue.
To clarify, online its NOT allowing me to check both boxes.
Will try telephone – but if anyone has insight – please shhare
I’m afraid you cannot. As per below link:
“ IMPORTANT: For technical reasons, it is impossible to combine vouchers issued before 1st September 2021 with vouchers issued afterwards. If you are in this position you will not be able to use two vouchers together to redeem for a group of four people.”
I have a new 241 voucher question.
If you do a one way from Asia to London, does the second leg have to originate from London or could you do, for example, JFK to LHR?

Here is key rule when booking an open jaw Avios redemption flight:
The geographic distance between your original landing airport and your new departure airport must be SHORTER than either of the two flights.
Using a European example, you could NOT book London to Madrid and fly back Helsinki to London. This is because Madrid to Helsinki is further than either of the flights.
Using my earlier example, you CAN fly out London-San Francisco (5367 miles) and back Tokyo-London (5974 miles), because both of those flights are longer than the distance between San Francisco and Tokyo (5124 miles).
