Using Avios for AA redemption

Good morning. I am probably doing something wrong but hoped to learn from my mistakes! I have found AA reward seat availability on seatspy in business and first (SAAver availability) for the dates that suit us however, when I search for these flights on the ‘book with avios’ page on BA.com, it returns zero availability. Any hints? Thank you!

Check what the availability is on AA.com rather than a 3rd party site which could have lagging issues.

Thanks, AA.com does show seats available, I presume BA doesn’t get the same availability.

The fact that aa.com shows award availability on your dates doesn’t necessarily mean that they are SAAver fares available for avios redemption. That is particularly the case in First and Business where they have become very difficult to come across.
