Looking for tips on how best to use Avios for a reward booking from Singapore to Johannesburg. BA site comes up totally blank I guess due to departure airport. I have previously arranged this by calling BA though I understand there is a more efficient way by converting Avios to Qmiles via Amex MR. Anyone ever tried this?
You can’t convert Avios to Qmiles.
The reason ba.com isn’t showing anything is probably because it makes certain assumptions about how long you would be prepared to wait in Doha. If there isn’t a connection in a reasonable time it doesn’t show it. You, on the other hand, may be happy to spend 6-12-24 hours in Doha as required.
Look for each leg separately on ba.com (SIN-DOH, DOH-JNB) and then try to piece together an itinerary that works.
