Hi I just wanted to check that I’ve understood correctly. 3 of us travelling from London next September into San Francisco and out of either LA or San Diego. Vouchers are attached to husbands card, hoping to travel Club World have 300,000 Avios. One booking him and daughter using CV off peak fare = 180,000 and me using upgrade voucher from premium = 95,000.
355 days out I book one way tickets and then phone up when the returns are released. Does this all sound correct? Also any idea of how popular a route this is? We will be in USA when outward flights release so was planning on booking online and then hoping to ring BA UK office on the morning of the return flights. Thank you
Yes that all sounds reasonable. Both bookings will need to be made from the account where the vouchers reside, so if you are planning to book on your husband’s behalf bear that in mind and add yourself as a nominee if necessary before hand.
I don’t think any of those routes are in the desperate scramble category, but a bit of flexibility with dates always helps.
Double check when midnight GMT is wherever you are at the time 😀
