Has anyone had any luck using the upgrade voucher, but across different cabins?
For example, outbound upgraded from WTP – CW but due to lack of availability on the inbound, upgrading from WT – WTP?
I only see the option to choose one and when there is no availability it doesn’t give me the option of a lower cabin.
Anyone had any success in this when calling BA? Or is it just not possible?
Any data points greatly appreciated!
There’s nothing specific in the terms to say whether you can or can’t, by default they imply the same Cabin A to Cabin B upgrade on both legs. As you say it’s definitely not possible online, but no harm in making a call to ask – and probably worth trying more than once as it’s quite likely most agents won’t have encountered the question either.
