VA Status – match to anything else?

Has anyone successfully managed to get anyone else to match their virgin status to another programme?

United will match VS Silver to Premier Gold and VS Gold to Premier Platinum. There is a challenge associated – my Premier Platinum renewal requires four UA-operated segments and either 3,500 PQPs or 3,000 PQPs and 8 PQFs in six months.

I don’t know of anyone else offering a match, but expect this to become easier in the new year when they become a full SkyTeam member. Let’s just hope we don’t see a devaluation in benefit due to an uptick in the influx of people matching in the reverse direction.

But as @AL says there are few direct matches these days and it’s ‘challenges’ where they will give you the status on a temp basis but you need to complete a certain number of flights / earn points for it to be extended. The requirement can even be to fly certain routes as well
