Avios is very clever, I almost want to use it as it’s a good business plan for BA..but I can’t help thinking the only winner is BA and the other business hangers on!
this site is full of articles discussing the “value” of avios. one thing everyone would agree on is that there is no single answers to your questions. I always convert Nectar to Avios, because for my redemption choices it is not a big value. For some, it may not be.
And yes, BA is the only winner — I always think that I am at least is not a big loser as I pick some nice redemptions.
After all, it is not a charity, it is a for-profit business. And house always wins.
