Hilton online chat are claiming a resort fee of $45 payable.
When i asked if this was per night, or per reservation, and how it was calculated they just told me to contact the hotel directly.

I don’t know how current this is. I know some Hilton hotels (the “resort” ones) don’t have to honour (no pun intended) some of the member benefits so possibly your Vegas one falls into that category?
AFAIK nothing has changed and no resort fees are due when the entire stay is paid with points. Ask Americans on the flyertalk thread for the property you want to book to be extra certain
Checked out from the Hilton Conrad (Resorts World) a few weeks ago, and confirm that Resort Fee’s are NOT payable on points bookings.
You can see it on the last page of the app before making the booking – it will confirm your resort fees are $0. They also made a point of them being complimentary at check in… and pointing out the $50 resort credit per day for due to Hilton status (said with a wink, as there was clearly only 1 of me so should have been $25)… and got upgraded to a 1100sqft suite in exchange for a $20 tip.
The one thing that was not mentioned was that the resort credit only applied at ‘The Kitchen’ or the egg place. I used mine at the foodcourt and the front desk wiped the charges as a goodwill gesture when it came to checkout.

Good to know, thats exactly where I’m staying.
was the tip due at front desk then? 🙂
At the front desk in Las Vegas – I’ll always hand over $20 with my ID and ask something along the lines of “I was also wondering if you have any complimentary upgrades available?”
50% of the time – get a great upgrade.
50% of the time – they just can’t do anything and offer to return the $20.
I stayed at the Conrad and was able to use the resort credit anywhere. I did consider it on points but TBH the price was so low that I paid cash in the end and saved the points for another day. There are good impresario offers on currently so spend a few moments to check if you’re getting value from your points.
We had an entry level room and it was very comfortable. We enjoyed our three days there but unsure if we would revisit as I prefer the center strip locations
