Virgin CC Voucher Value

Hi,

Struggling to find the answer to this question in various sources online.

Is the value of the Virgin CC voucher (75k for red, 150k for Silver/Gold) determined at the point it is earned, the point at which the flight is booked or the point at which the voucher is applied (if done some time after the flight booking).

I.e. is it possible to “upgrade” a voucher already in your account but not spent, by qualifying for Silver/Gold afterwards?

From the full T&C’s:

“the voucher value will reflect your status at the time of redemption.”

So I would interpret that as when you use it on a booking
