Virgin Reward Seat Checker

Is it just me but the VA reward seat checker search app on the website returns numbers that bear no relation to the actual numbers when you do a flight search, particularly for PE and UC.
Or am I missing something?

I think it can differ depending on whether you’re booking a one-way or a return.

I’ve done a few searches recently and they all matched.

Also with pricing now being dynamic I imagine it takes the checker tool a while to catch up.

They all match with the economy seat points, but none of them correspond with PE or UC, nowhere near 🙁

The reward seat checker isn’t live. It gets updated on a schedule, but nobody knows what that schedule is, or even if it’s consistent. Quite easily could be a batch job that falls over from time to time.

Is it best to use the seat checker for one way searches? It seems reasonably accurate for that, then search the return separately and put the 2 together when speaking to an agent when using the voucher?

Trying to accurately do returns it just doesnt seem to work well??

Thanks, sounds like a plan. Saver availability for Sept/Oct has dried up quite a bit last few weeks, hopefully more will get released
