Which (departure) Lounge is available for Virgin Upper Class passengers at Miami please? – is there a designated UC area or equivalent First Class area or is it the bog standard awful US lounge experience?

Also, is the Revivals Lounge still open at LHR please?

    Thanks

    May I add another Q?
Any alternative lounges when revivals closed, arriving on Upper Class?

I was hoping to read that UC Virgin would have access to First Class with Delta lounge.

Went last year and the std lounge allocated to Virgin was only slightly better than a big standard lounge – and it was packed, with kids screaming all around us.

Was hoping for something more up market, less busy and fewer kids.

Revivals is open yes. Lovely and very attentive staff. Great for getting a shower, quick breakfast before heading out of the airport.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by “First Class with Delta lounge”, so I’ve taken that to mean the DL Sky Club. Look up “Virgin Atlantic Business Class Passengers” in the Sky Club access policy at https://www.delta.com/us/en/delta-sky-club/access. Be prepared to fight the DL agent to let you in, though, and note that they are strict on the wording – you must have a same-day international flight or be connecting on a single-ticketed itinerary (regardless of whether there’s a layover involving a date change).

Miami airport signage is woeful, just finding the gates was difficult given they have one set of naming describing the “South” or “S” terminal, another set for each spoke such as “G”, “H”, “J” etc. but when Virgin was flying from “J” gates, this is actually combined with “H” so the signage was to “H” terminal.

Once there, the lounge was directly above the departure gate, quite spacious and shared across numerous airlines, nothing special. But what was particularly difficult, given the flight was delayed, was the departure notices (both inside and outside the lounge).

ALL flights at Miami are either described as “On time” or “Departed” – there seems to be no “Go to gate” or “Boarding” status, leading many passengers to be quite nervous since there would be no indication inside the lounge as to when the delayed flight might start boarding!

Yes, the arrivals lounge is open (scan for champagne!)

    Thanks for all the responses.

Revivals lounge is great for a decent sized shower room and freshen up – though finding it is fun, even cabin crew were clueless as to its whereabouts.

However, the service and breakfast were rubbish the last time we stopped off – and no amount of 8am champagne would have improved it lol

Slight confession – the reason I asked about UC equivalent lounge at MIA is that when flying back from LAX in January, we werent permitted into their First Class Lounge (even flying Virgin UC).

Now I’m more concerned in that while the Delta Lounge at LAX is reasonable (especially if you slide the door to the “library room” and get two large settees and the room to yourself) – I have less enjoyable memories of their lounge at MIA.

Im sure the bar server actually growled if your tip wasn’t large enough lol

Did they not mention getting in to the ANZ *A lounge? It’s superb, and is the current replacement for the LAX Clubhouse. They need to take cues from it for any permanent replacement.

Please feed back re: lounge location to VS. Crew obviously need a reminder, but in the years it’s been there, I’ve never not known a crewmember know where it (or the Clubhouse for when I connect at LHR) is, so that’s strange. They could have asked their FSM for you!
