Hi. I am trying to get a flight quote to use my barclaycard upgrade voucher. When I tick this option and press search it defaults to search with my compnaion ticket. I have spoken to BA who have no idea, cleared my cookies and chache, leave it 24hrs and it keeps happening so I cannot get an upgrade quote. Occasionnaly it works. for example i chose london to tokyo economy and it gave me a premium economy seat so then I search inverness to tokyo it says no flights but the companion voucher is ticked and not the upgrade voucher. I then go back to try the london to tokyo option and it says no flights as the companion ticket is being chosen automatically…no idea how to solve this..have tried it on my computer and tablet..is it just me?
Same here. I usually find starting a search over delivers results correctly.
I need to check an itinerary price using the Barclays voucher but mine are locked up in a refund at present. Anyone got one and who could price-check for me?
I’m also seeing weird issues with defaulting to Amex Companion Voucher if you change the search.
Also, Rob’s article suggests that you can only book using the normal RFS rates.
But when I searched for two one way domestic tickets using Barclays upgrade voucher, the result came back with 50p taxes each, ie £1 total, plus 18,500 Avios for a domestic flight. So not only were the taxes wrong but the Avios required were more than twice what they should be (8,000 Avios). No apparent way to change to taxes.
Anyone been able to book over the phone when this happens?
