Wheely First Class Experience in London?

I saw the Wheely article last month but there were only a couple of comments regarding the service and was wondering if any users could report back further? I know it’s more expensive than a normal cab but with a special London trip coming up at the end of the month, I was keen to try it out to see if it’s worth the extra expense and more importantly, if it’s more reliable in terms of drivers accepting fares quickly and vehicle arrival times being accurate.

I tend to have problems regularly with drivers on other apps not accepting fares and can often have multiple apps requestng before I finally get accepted. I appreciate it depends on the “desirability” of the job but it can still be pretty frustrating to wait for 10+ mins to get a driver to confirm

I know @dali posted a Membership referral code last month and didn’t want to clog-up forums with requests but as this is quite a low-traffic forum, I thought I’d ask here if anyone could share theirs with me 🙂

The best thing about Wheely is the reliability. Unlike Uber, Bolt et al, if I order a Wheely ride the driver will not cancel and the times are pretty accurate (obviously traffic can impact this).

Driver will never complain about change of route etc if you need to do that and will just do whatever you need.

They’ll also include 5 mins of free wait time and wait up to 20 mins before contacting you to check if they should keep waiting.

I once had a Wheely driver wait 2h 10m for me at LHR T5 while my bags were delayed.

They’ll charge you for the privilege, of course, but the point is that they are reliable and will deliver what they promise.

Wheely is the only ride-hailing service I’ve tried in London that consistently never lets me down.

Wheely are exactly what you want when you want comfort and reliability, and you have sufficient notice you can pre-book. May work for you without pre-booking in busy locations. I’d use them again without hesitation.
