The blocked bassinet seats are now showing as available on the seat picker, but it wont allow me to pick them yet. I called BA and they said that they weren’t able to assign them yet either, do they become available in the seat picker 24 hours before the flight?
In my experience over the years it’s been between 72hrs and never. Sometimes the phone can do something the website can’t do. Never was my most recent experience, I could see it in Expertflyer but even check in said it wasn’t available
No , not available at t-24 unless you have the required baby. They are available at the check in desk but you still run the risk of getting booted out if (a) a baby does turn up – this is unlikely but I had it happen or (b) the captain or senior crew member gazumps you and takes the seat for their plus one – this is much more likely and has also happened to me.
