Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Where can I go with my BAPP companion voucher in Oct/Nov this year? Pref in J

  • 53 posts

    Hi all,

I have a voucher expiring next Sep 2026. However wife and I want to use it this year as potentially trying for a baby end of year!

Where to go where its warm/hot and some availability in J? We don’t mind one leg in J and one in Premium economy. I’ve had a brief look and options are limited unless its New York really (which we’ve already been 2 years ago).

Potentially Goa (via Mumbai), but everything else in reward flights seem to be booked with only economy remaining..

Don’t really want to use the companion voucher in economy for long haul…

    Help please! Thanks

As long as you’re not travelling during the autumn half term period, you should find something. Do you have more exact dates – or any when you absolutely can’t fly?

A romantic break in a tropical setting would get you off to a good start, lol!

I guess you are asking because you don’t have a SeatSpy subscription?

There is a lot of availability in CW to POS where you can get a short flight to Tobago which is a stunning and really laid back island. Doom merchants will tell you it’s hurricane season.

BOM and BLR have decent availability if you fancy India or going on to the Maldives. Search via Google to find posts here about that.

Grand Cayman has some PE plus CW outbound October 14.

Accommodation budget and length of stay would also be helpful to know. Plenty of availability to the US from where it’s very easy to connect to the Caribbean but might require a longer duration.

GCM/NAS/PLS tend to have better availability than most of the other islands, possibly due to the LHR departure. T3 means access to the good lounges as well!

BDA is also good for finding availability (including F) but can have cooler weather from November and accommodation is very pricey.

Might also be seats to DXB and DOH, if you want guaranteed hot and dry weather.

Thanks all. I don’t have SeatSpy unfortunately and when I did the trial version previously, i found it quite inaccurate!

October first two weeks would be ideal, last two weeks of October is half term in most of UK (so less availability etc). November anytime is fine too but we prefer October. We went to Japan back in March (CW thanks to this forum!!) and did Singapore and Phuket last year so ideally not those places.

Looking for around 7-10 days approx. We don’t really have a specific budget in mind but for total flights (including connecting) I guess under £800 each approx.

Will look into the above suggestions thank you all and please advise if any more suggestions!

Out of interest, what did you find “inaccurate” about Seat Spy?

Your 241 may open up extra CW availability so don’t forget to use it when you search.

You really should do a Seat Spy monthly subscription.

SeatSpy showed J availability on some dates (cant remember which location it was now) but when I searched in BA Reward flight finder, it didn’t show the availability.

If you are worried about Zika, your options will be quite restricted when you overlay BA’s route map. Really just Middle East, Mauritius, Bermuda and Hong Kong (and Singapore). You shouldn’t struggle too much to get a redemption to Doha or Bahrain. If you can live with Club Europe then Canaries or Jordan could be worth a look.

There is some availability to Doha around the end of November so you may be able to get there with your 241 and look at going onward in the region with Qatar using Avios.
