Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Which routes have the new Iberia NEXT business class seats?

I gather from past articles there are just a handful of aircraft with the new seats.

    Anyone know the routes?

I appreciate aircraft can be changed on routes but good to know where they are most commonly utilising the new seats.

    All on new A330s?

The new A350 and the old ones have the exact same seating pattern so IB can switch them anytime and you cannot really tell.

More “business” oriented routes may have the new planes (like MEX/NYC).

Having tried both I do enjoy being able to connect my bluetooth headphones to the new system but don’t see the plus of the business class door vs the old seat (I believe it was a more comfortable as a bed).

I did not try the PE or Y seats to know if they make a big difference (but since there is NO WAY to know what plane you will have I wouldn’t book based on that).

    Thanks for replies.

They are appearing on both A330’s and A350’s?

Any other improvements other than privacy screen and a better IFE?

Any way to nab a full flat business seat on the Madrid-london or Barcelona to London segments?

I am not aware of the new seats on any of the A330. No new A330 have been delivered (other than LEVEL planes) these last year (the seat was introduced last October).

Only the A350 has the new seats.

If you want to try the business class seat you need to fly to Madrid on one of the 2 daily services using 330s or 350s (one on Sundays). Many times economy bookings are given an option to upgrade at check in (specially on the 7am departure from MAD).

Iberia don’t fly BCN to London. The only business option is BA, and I don’t recall them ever running widebodies – but there are some from Madrid.
