Please help – I have searched the forum, but couldn’t find an answer to my specific issue:
I have booked DUB / LHR / LAX / LHR / AGP for next June. There was a 23-hour gap between the DUB/LHR leg and the LHR/LAX leg (so I avoided the UK Air Passenger Duty).
Now, BA have cancelled my DUB/LHR leg, and put me on an earlier flight, resulting in a 26 hour gap between the DUB/LHR leg and the LHR/LAX leg.
– If I accept the earlier BA flight, is there any chance that I will be required to pay the “Start in UK” Air Passenger Duty?
Thanks.
@1958 it’s a tricky question! Someone will have to pay the APD for a non-disruption rerouting triggering the requirement, but generally BA won’t recalculate the fare in re-ticketing a reroute that would cause you to have to pay.
