    Hi Guys

Has anyone bought the case of wine plus one bottle of gin for £150 to receive 4,0000 avios

And £50 for 1 bottle of gin to receive 2,000 avios

This is a offer in ba exec club

Correct me if I am wrong as this seems good value considering you would have to spend £4,000 to receive 6k avios if using barclycaed or premium plus Amex card

Or am I missing something ?

I drink gin and wine anyway. Seems a no brainer

    Offer ends 22nd May

    Any thoughts are much appreciated

My gin comparator is Brockmans 70cl £34 at Tesco.

My wine comparator is a Portugese red up to £6.50 a bottle.

    All excluding Avios.

The Wine Flyer isn’t quite cheap enough for me.

£34 for gin! I came back from GIB with 4 different types ranging from £7 – £20 per litre.

Any gin recommendations that are close to Brockmans are appreciated. TIA.

I’m well-versed in gins, my top buys would be:
    – Hernö gin, best all-rounder, my favourite for 5+ years
    – Monkey 47, best for a citrus profile
    – Ki No Bi, most interesting contemporary gin with not-your-average botanicals
    – Kyrö Dark, great aged gin perfect for negronis
    – Sipsmith VJOP, delicious juniper-forward navy strength
    – Tanqueray No 10, still unbeatable in a martini

We bought a couple of Gibraltar gins at the airport, they package them in recycled plastic to make them lighter to transport. Haven’t tried them yet but the bloke who makes them swore they were excellent and involve 14 different botanicals when he started chatting to us in a bar!
