Has anyone tried to use their Barclaycard for a Wise Currency transaction? If so, was just after knowing whether you were charged a Cash Advance fee (2.99%) on the transaction? (Pounds to some other currency, but it will appear as Pounds on the statement as the conversion is done by Wise)
According to Wise some do and some don’t, and not managed to get anything other than a scripted answer from Barclays, not addressing the question at all. They use Merchant Category Codes (MCC) of 4829 or 6012.

It will. Though might depend on the currency.
@RT – I don’t know as I haven’t tried – someone else on here might have. But you can test it by topping up your account with a small amount.
