Book UK Accor hotel rooms for this weekend for £25-£60 with ‘Happy Mondays’

Accor’s ‘Happy Mondays’ is the most generous hotel promotion available for last minute weekend rooms in the UK.  If you find yourself in need of a hotel room for this weekend, it is definitely the best place to look.

(If you need a hotel for a date further in advance, one option is book a reward room with another chain now – just to guarantee a bed.  Make a diary note to return to this page on the Mondary or Tuesday before your stay and see if you can get a ‘Happy Mondays’ deal.  You can then cancel your reward night with the other hotel.)

It is nice and simple, and potentially a good deal. Every Monday and Tuesday, Accor makes a raft of UK hotel rooms available at discount prices for the following weekend.

Accor Happy Monday

The new Happy Mondays booking link

Happy Mondays has a special booking page – click here.

This successfully brings up all of the deals for this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday across the UK.

Here is a summary of the deal:

These are ‘room only’ deals and only some Accor hotels will be participating on any particular date

The headline prices range from £25 for Ibis Budget hotels in London and Ibis hotels outside London, up to £60 for Mercure and Novotel hotels in central London.

You book via this special Accor booking page here

Bookings will earn Le Club AccorHotels points

If the booking page above does not work properly (some weeks Accor seem to forget to update it!) you can also book directly by using the ‘Preferential Code’ MONDAY on the main Accor home page.  This does not seem to show full availability for some reason but it is better than nothing if the main link is not working.

This is a great offer, especially in London.

I looked yesterday and – for this coming Saturday night – was able to book, amongst other options, the Novotel Excel for £40, the Mercure Bloomsbury for £60, the ibis City for £40 and the Mercure Greenwich for £60.  The ibis at Heathrow is just £25!  You will sometimes see the more central Ibis Excel and Ibis Budget City at £25.

These are clearly excellent deals and this promotion is well worth bearing in mind next time you need a short-notice weekend hotel in the UK.

  1. Does the status you get from Plat Amex entitle you to a few drink?
We used Novotel Excel for a concert at the O2 it was ideal.

    • Sorry ‘free’ drink

    • I have stayed a few times at Novotels using Happy Mondays, as a Platinum member still got the drink voucher(s), room upgrade and welcome gift in the room! Last time there was a knock at my door and the receptionist gave me a plate with some little cakes on it! Great deal.

Contrast that with IHG, where i am Spire, room upgrades need negotiating and you have to remind them about the points/drink options.

  2. Erico1875 says:

We have used this £25 deal several times at the Ibis ,South Bridge, Edinburgh. (situated just off Royal Mile) and believe it or not, breakfast has always been included.

    • Yeah I’ve stayed here five or six times since it opened on Happy Monday’s rates and had noticed that I was never charged for breakfast. I’m not complaining as it is actually quite nice for an Ibis.

The new Mercure is also open in Edinburgh. I stayed at that two weeks ago on a Happy Monday rate and it’s really nice. I’ve got gold with LCAH and was upgraded to a lovely privilege room. Had to pay for breakfast though but it was one of the best Accor hotel breakfast I’ve had.

If you’re in Edinburgh again I’d recommend trying it if you can get it at a good rate.

  3. There is currently an offer for 2000 points on a booming (presumably any?) which is worth €40 rendering £25 effectively free.

  4. Sorry James, but the 2,000 points expired already.
And yes, you you would get the welcome drink linked to status

    • Ah, ok, I successfully registered for it yesterday but didn’t book so I guess I lost my chance.

  5. Cheshire Pete says:

Thanks for reminding me of this and the new link, as I couldn’t get the broken one working when I looked the other week.

Already had the Ibis at Heathrow booked for this Saturday, as on the Sunday we’re on the inaugural flight with BA to Iceland! So cancelled my flexible and got the same room for £25 !

  6. I’ve had no issues with using the MONDAY code – seems to work absolutely fine.

  7. I stayed at the Euston Ibis last Friday using this. Perfectly acceptable for £40. Especially considering the rate they were advertising on the day for that night…

  8. OT – sorry – if anybody has bought 3V cards at Morrison’s since Oct 14th and has had trouble activating, they should contact 3V customer services – they wrote back to me stating that the cards are no longer available from October 14th. Having this email will presumably make it (relatively) easy to get a refund at Morrison’s.

    • Sandgrounder says:

So 3v is dead? Even the rebranded cards? Or just at Morrisons?

      • Absolutely dead. No longer available for purchase. Am currently waiting to hear back from Morrison’s about my refund.

        • Does that mean cards acquired @ Morrisons before Oct 14th won’t activate? I’ll try it later, I have receipts etc so not worried.

          • I would have thought they would already have activated at the till, if bought before Oct 14. I only noticed after leaving the store that my ‘activation’ slips said ‘will be activated in the next 24 hours’. I’m sure you’ll be able to use activated cards – the point is that no new ones are being activated.

Morrison’s have told me that the problem with a refund is that all gift cards are offered by another company, not Morrison’s directly. So getting the refund is problematic. I’m sure I’ll get it eventually, but it seems to be no simple matter.

  9. I’m going to the U2 concert at the O2 this Sunday and I can’t believe I managed to bag the Novotel Excel for £40 last night. I did have a cancelable room booked elsewhere which was out of the way and a lot more expensive.

Going OT, It’s also my last BHD-LHR-DUB single which I booked pre 28th April…so it’s a pretty cheap trip.

  10. The_Real_A says:

Im really pleased to see this is still available as long term offer. I didnt typically use Accor hotels, but at this price I have availed numerous times – and i have actually begun to like the brand. They usually get a few breakfast/dinner out of me too. As a platinum (AMEX) i always get recognised for status unlike may of the “top” chains, and I have swtiched some work stays over to mercure/sofitel as a result.

Long may this last – accor certainly get more money out of me running the offer :)

  11. Any word on when the amex plat enrolment for le club plat status will be up and running again?
