More Black Friday deals – parking, lounges, rail cards, currency and more!

Here is another batch of Black Friday travel deals we have been notified about in advance.  We take no responsibility if these deals have changed or don’t work as promised :-)

Amazon

Amazon has been incredibly great at communicating their Black Friday deals and we covered a few over on Shopper Points.

We found one offer for today that could be of interest for every traveller: Suitcases

Today you can save up to 29% off American Tourister and Samsonite suitcases.

The other good deals we found on Amazon are in this Shopper Points article.

Cathay Pacific 350

Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific has got two great offers for flights to Hong Kong:

Economy Flights to Hong Kong – from £399
Premium Economy to Hong Kong – from £799

All other Black Friday offers can be found on this page of the Cathay Pacific website.

Heathrow Airport Parking Black Friday

Heathrow Airport Parking

We recently ran a competition with Heathrow Airport Parking listing the advantages of booking your airport parking with Heathrow’s official parking company. This Black Friday you can save money when booking any of Heathrow Airport Parking’s services. We didn’t know the exact saving when writing this article, but they should be up on the website now.

LoungeBuddy thumbnail

LoungeBuddy

If you fly between now and 24th January and your flight or status doesn’t allow you general lounge access, you could book one of 200 lounges wordwide with LoungeBuddy and save 20%. Simply follow this link and book by midnight tonight. The discount will be added automatically. This offer doesn’t apply to bookings via their app.  Discounts may include the First Class Lounge at the City Airport Private Jet Terminal I reviewed recently.

rail-card

National Rail Card

This Black Friday you can save £10 on your National Rail Card and save money on your train travel for the next year.

Enter the code BLACKFRIDAY when buying either a 16-25 Railcard or a Family & Friends Railcard via the Rail Card website and pay only £20 instead of £30

Priority Pass

Priority Pass

Buy a Priority Pass lounge access card between today and 2nd December and you can save 25% to 40% depending on which version you get. The discount will be applied automatically when booking via the Priority Pass website.

(EDIT: 8am – this deal is not live yet, but will be.  It is scheduled to run until 2nd December so there is no rush to purchase immediately. )

Travelex thumbnail

Travelex

Travelex is doing a currency sale today from 9am until 5pm. Unfortunately we don’t have more information, but if you are travelling this Winter it’s worth visiting the Travelex website from 9am.

Virgin East Coast

Virgin East Coast

We don’t have much information on this Black Friday Deal, but what we do know is that Virgin East Coast is releasing a whole bunch of £5 tickets with London, Leeds, Edinburgh, York Durham and Newcastle included in the deal. The Virgin East Coast website is here.

This was it for now (thankfully!).  Obviously there is a lot more going on today but these are the deals we were told about.  We should have another list of deals on Monday for Cyber Monday.

Comments

  1. Nothing showing on the Heathrow parking site yet.

Anyone know if we cancel an existing booking for Christmas and rebook if cheaper will the Heathrow reward vouchers get returned to us to respend on this offer.

  2. Iberia are throwing up some odd business promo fares fyi

    • I should have added they’re showing as business promo until they’re booked. They’re then showing as economy Q class. Ring Iberia and they’re of no use. That was last night and they’re still showing this mornig

  3. the real harry says:

Not showing on Priority Pass either – £9.54 to get into No1 Traveller would be good :)

  4. Heathrow parking prices are the same as yesterday :-(

  5. John Watkins says:

    Re the priority pass,

I have got up to the payment part after creating account and it is still showing £159. No discount has been mentioned along the process so at this time I am reluctant to proceed.

  6. Re: Priority Pass, I have found a way to get:

-Standard down to £41 (from £69)
-Standard Plus down to £119 (from £159)
-Prestige down to £194 from £259

I haven’t posted the link (as Rob will obviously not get any referral commission etc) but if Rob is happy for me to do so, then let me know

  7. How can’t you know much about the Virgin Trains East Coast sale? It started on Tuesday (for those who got the early access link – such as those with the Virgin Red app) and officially started Wednesday. It finishes midnight tonight unless it was extended because people have had booking issues early on due to the site hasn’t been able to cope.

Unlike previous sales that tended to avoid the non-core sections of the route such as Aberdeen or Inverness all stations on the route seem to be covered, however as the sale has been running for so long now all the good times seem to be taken, it’s still worth looking out a bargain though.

Be careful, you need to use the special booking page not the booking form on the homepage: https://www.virgintrainseastcoast.com/special-offers/deals/snooze-you-lose-seat-sale/

  8. Heathrow Parking looks completely the same pricing for the two trips on which I’ve already booked.

  9. Be careful with the Cathay deal, I booked HKG economy for £380 in October and I believe the Dec/Jan sale a couple years ago was also better/around the £399 mark.

  10. Priority pass is now showing a 10% discount across the board, shame its not 25-40 otherwise I would have jumped in

    • I have emails from yesterday stating 25-40% showing the exact price of each card. Hold off.

      • Interesting. I paid £6 to Groupon for a 25% discount off the price voucher that needs to be used up by November 30th. Today I got an email saying the voucher use by date has been extended to 23/04/17. Not that that is any use to me as my PP expires in the 1st week of December (I’ve cancelled to auto-renewal they don’t remind you about).

The discount is really needed if using the No 1 lounge at Heathrow as out of 4 attempt I’ve only gotten in once – turned away as it was too full. You can pay £5 if you have PP card to reserve a place for yourself.

  11. OT: Amex offers: £30 back on > £200 spend at Apple (online or instore…)

  12. Heathrow parking is the same price as yesterday, but they’ve made up a price and put a line through it to pretend you’re getting a saving

  13. Was hoping for decent Bose discounts – looking for some new QC35s. There appears to be little out there to get excited about – 10% off at Selfridges is the best there is??

  14. They have all year to get their systems in place and still befuddle and screw it up on opening night.

    Hard to believe really.

We wouldn’t have let it get out of DEV !

  15. travelex rates pretty good actually. Ordered some for my trip to Oman next week, thanks!

  16. The Travelex site says ‘Black Friday Sale’, but I don’t see any Black Friday discounts or bargains. If they are giving a special rate, it’s not better than what various other exchange outfits are offering without a Black Friday factor.

  17. Still no discount showing at heathrow parking

  18. Singapore Airlines are selling Manchester – Houston for £250. Book by 28 Nov, travel 18 Jan to 28 March

    • the real harry says:

before you all go thinking the price is amazing, PP run a European deal where similar prices are available, I did link to it in the past

this is OK if you can use all 10 passes (middle deal)

shame you can’t use them all up with a family travelling (eg 2x 5) or I’d be in like a shot
