For those planning travel between Asia and US, this might be a good way to use the SQ miles. This should open up more reward seats soon.
Even for those traveling between Singapore and Europe or happy to position in FRA to fly to NYC, it can be good news as demand from SIN will move to non stop flights rather than use the FRA stopover.
Looks like SQ is wasting no time in taking over the premium market on US-Asia flights given Cathay (and HK) are stuck in an unfortunate position.
