Should you be unlucky enough to have a stash of Flying Blue miles, Gary has details of the routes offering a 50% discount on redemptions during July and August.

Flying Blue

Paid to Shop (registration required) has details of 1,200 Tesco Clubcard points for a £75 spend (theoretically for orders on accounts with no previous onine shopping orders) and 750 points for any wine order, no minimum spend but minimum 12 bottles or 6 of champagne.  Don’t forget to use Quidco for cashback on top.  Multiply by 2.4 for the equivalent Avios reward and 2.5 for Virgin Flying Club miles earned.

If your BAEC account is UK registered, British Airways should have emailed you about its Olympic promo.  If you fly FROM London between 27th July and 12th August, you will earn up to 2,000 bonus miles if Great Britain wins an Olympic medal that day – 250 if the best is Bronze, 500 for Silver and 1,000 for Gold, with the amount doubled if one of BA’s sponsored athletes wins.  You might as well register even if you have no flying planned, since plans can change.
