London Underground posters for sale at Christies

This is slightly OT for a frequent flyer site, but it is the weekend.
On my way to the Olympic beach volleyball the other day (!), I popped into Christies auction house on King Street in Mayfair. Until 24th August, they are exhibiting classic London Underground posters which will be sold in September.
These are all ‘spares’ from the collection of the London Transport Museum, with the expected £500,000 proceeds to be reinvested in the museum.
They are well worth a look if you are passing. Note that the exhibition stretches across two separate galleries – the King Street Gallery and Duke Street Gallery – both on the ground floor.
As always with Christies and Sothebys, entrance is free.
