Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Save £20 on a £200 Opodo booking paid with American Express

American Express has launched a new promotion in association with Opodo, offering a £20 saving.

You need to register your Amex card (must be an Amex-issued Amex card, eg BA, Platinum, Gold, Green, Nectar, SPG, Costco) at this website.

The first 2,500 people to register and book will receive a £20 credit on their next Amex statement when they spend £200 at Opodo before 1 December.  What is not clear is how you know if you are in the first 2,500 to book , unless the wording is badly written and they mean the first 2,500 to register and anyone after this is not allowed to sign up.

The credit is paid within 5 days of the charge hitting your Amex statement.  Note that some budget airlines are excluded – read the rules carefully.

Agree very poorly worded – however the confirmation page and email seem fairly clear re £20 credit so I’m taking it that I’ve made it into the first 2,500 to register and thus are eligible. If it doesn’t post I’ll be chasing them up!
