Hilton HHonors has started to drip feed a number of promotions into the market which offer bonus miles for people who choose the ‘Hilton HHonors points and airline miles’ collection option when staying.

(Hilton is unique in offering BOTH points and airline miles when you stay with them. You can, if you wish, elect to earn just points – which gets you a point bonus – but often it is worthwhile taking ‘points and miles’ because the airline miles are worth more than the extra points. This is very likely to be the case with the promotions here.)

Here are the deals so far:

Delta2,013 bonus miles on stays of 2 nights or more (valid on up to 7 stays), expires 30th June

EmiratesEarn up to 400% bonus miles.  You earn 1,000 miles on your 2nd stay, 1,500 miles on your 3rd stay and 2,000 miles per stay from your 4th stay.  There appears to be no limit to the number of stays you can do.  Expires 30th June.

Miles & More2,000 miles when you stay a Friday, Saturday or Sunday at participating hotels, expires 30th June

United Airlines1,000 bonus miles on stays of 2 nights or more (valid on up to 5 stays), expires 30th June

Virgin Flying Club – I have posted about this before, but worth repeating that you can earn 4,000 miles per stay at certain hotels in London and Scotland

Nothing (yet?) for Avios this time round.

These deals should combine with the current points promotion outlined under the ‘Hotel Offers’ tab at the top of the page.

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards

How to earn Hilton Honors points and status from UK credit cards (April 2025)

There are various ways of earning Hilton Honors points from UK credit and debit cards.  Many cards also have generous sign-up bonuses.

There are two dedicated Hilton Honors debit cards. These are especially attractive when spending abroad due to the 0% or 0.5% FX fee, depending on card.

You also receive FREE Hilton Honors status for as long as you hold the debit cards – Gold status with the Plus card and Silver status with the basic card. This is a great reason to apply even if you rarely use it.

We reviewed the Hilton Honors Plus Debit Card here and the Hilton Honors Debit Card here.

You can apply for either card here.

That’s good to hear. 4,000 Virgin miles per stay and 40% off is not bad going! May even be worth a mattress run if you live in a suitably cheap part of the country.

  • Stuchap says:

I’ve found a couple of fairly cheap rooms at hotels included in the Virgin london and Scotland promotion. However, these are advance purchase and non-refundable rooms. In the terms and conditions of this room type it states “This rate is not combinable with any other offers and promotions and is not available to groups.”

On the registration page for the virgin points promo, the T&C’s state there that “may not be combined with any other select promotions, discounts or offers”

Will I still be eligible if I book an advance room?

    • Rob says:

Very unlikely to be a problem – I have never heard of Advance Purchase Hilton rooms not counting for promotions. Priority Club, well that’s a different story!

      • Alan says:

Agreed, generally not an issue with Hilton. I did have a problem in October though when there was a Conrad/United promo on and they tried to deny me the points as they said the promo didn’t allow for the ‘Great Getaway’ AP bookings. I pointed out that there was nothing showing it as an excluded rate and they relented.

So in general I wouldn’t expect any problems, but if any do occur then just push your case!
